Understand before recommending
Different roof materials, ages and conditions call for different treatment decisions.

A roof is a major part of your home. Knowing whether it needs cleaning, colour restoration or repairs isn’t always straightforward. That’s where we start.
Understand the roof.
Explain the options.
Then decide.
At RoofRegen, we specialise in helping homeowners make sense of those choices. We offer professional roof cleaning, moss removal, agreed minor repairs, gutter clearing and RENOTEC roof-coating services across Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire.
Our approach starts by understanding the property. A suitable roof may benefit from cleaning or coating; another may need repairs or further investigation first.
We believe you deserve to understand the recommendation before you decide what happens next.
Moss-covered tiles can look worrying. Faded roof colour can make a home appear older than it is. Blocked gutters can prompt concerns about water running where it shouldn’t.
Those concerns deserve more than a standard sales pitch.
A roof that looks tired doesn’t automatically need replacing — but looking clean doesn’t prove that a roof is sound either.
Our purpose is to help homeowners understand what may be suitable: cleaning, specialist colour coating, minor work or the advice to investigate a bigger roofing issue.

Different roof materials, ages and conditions call for different treatment decisions.
Cleaning removes surface contamination; coating changes the finish and surface properties. Neither can repair an underlying structural defect.
Explain the scope, any limitations and a quotation so homeowners can choose with confidence.
Professional roof care is about more than the final photograph. Tile type, roof condition, safe access, moisture, preparation and weather conditions all influence which treatments should be considered.
Understanding those factors is important before cleaning and particularly before applying a specialist coating.
Concrete, clay, slate and other surfaces differ. The RENOTEC datasheet identifies mineral roof tiles as the intended substrate and adds recommendations for particular surfaces.
Cracked tiles, defects or unsuitable substrates need to be considered separately from moss and discolouration.
RENOTEC application guidance specifies thorough cleaning, drying, inspection, necessary repairs and compatible primer where applicable. Preparation cannot be skipped simply to obtain a fast finish.
Coatings are surface treatments. They don’t automatically fix leaks, failed underlay or structural damage.
Good work means knowing when a treatment fits — and when it doesn’t.

Complete the short form or call. Provide your full postcode and explain what you have noticed. You do not need to identify the technical cause yourself.
We check the information and service area, then establish the next step. If additional property details would help, we explain what is needed.
Materials, condition, contamination, defects and safe access are considered. Coating needs additional compatibility and preparation checks.
We discuss the appropriate service and relevant limitations. Necessary repairs or specialist investigation should be explained, not ignored.
The proposed scope and any applicable conditions are set out. You can then decide whether you would like to proceed.
Approved work is scheduled according to availability and agreed arrangements. Relevant completion photographs and aftercare can be recorded against the job.
Care for the roof.
Care for the property.

A specialist product.
A considered application.
Sometimes cleaning is all a suitable roof needs. But when the surface is suitable and a homeowner wants its colour restored, a specialist coating may offer another option.
The manufacturer describes RENOTEC as a water-based, two-coat roof-coating system for suitable mineral tiles. Its 2022 brochure states that the coating is manufactured in Germany and describes hydrophobic, breathable and UV-resistant properties.
RENOTEC provides a coloured finish alongside surface properties designed to reduce water absorption.
The 2022 brochure quotes an Sd value of 0.03 m for water-vapour diffusion resistance. Put simply, the coating is intended to allow vapour movement rather than acting like an unsuitable impermeable seal.
The separate RENOTEC BPA datasheet identifies the additive as the component that creates the enhanced super-hydrophobic finish. BPA must not be assumed to be included in every installation.
The RENOTEC guide sets out cleaning, preparation, primer considerations, a two-coat system and minimum application temperature requirements.
A specialist product deserves a specialist assessment — and an honest explanation of what it can and cannot do.
Explore RENOTEC Roof CoatingTechnical statements refer to supplied manufacturer literature dated 2013/2022. Current specifications, availability, BPA inclusion and any warranty must be confirmed for the proposed installation. No general installation guarantee is implied.
Choosing somebody to work on your home involves trust. You want clear communication, a sensible recommendation and a result that matches the agreed work.
Genuine customer reviews can help you understand other homeowners’ experiences. We prefer real feedback over impressive-sounding claims that cannot be checked.
As our project gallery develops, our case studies will explain the roof’s starting condition, the service carried out and the outcome — not simply display an attractive photograph.
A clear quotation is more useful when you understand the decisions behind it. Before arranging roof care, we encourage homeowners to ask some straightforward questions.
Better questions lead to more confident decisions — and that’s how a good customer relationship should begin.
Ask RoofRegen a QuestionMaterial and condition should guide the recommendation, especially for coating.
Understand cleaning, gutter clearing, biocide treatment, coating or repairs as separate items where applicable.
Know whether extra work needs approval or a different specialist is required.
Cleaning cannot undo every mark or colour fade. Coating cannot rebuild a failing roof.
Ask what applies to the particular service, product and installation rather than relying on a general product claim.

Our advertised offering focuses on maintaining and restoring existing roofs, alongside minor repairs and gutter clearing. Full roof replacement is not part of that advertised offering. If a roof needs major replacement work, that should be considered with an appropriate roofing specialist rather than presented as a coating opportunity.
A useful recommendation needs to explain what the proposed work cannot achieve as well as the expected benefit. Our approach separates surface appearance, material condition and underlying roofing defects so that a visual improvement is not mistaken for a structural repair.
RoofRegen Ltd is registered under company number 17415438. You can check the public company record with Companies House and compare it with the company details in our website footer and customer documents. The registered-office address is also stated in our legal policies.
RoofRegen may invite customers to leave genuine feedback following their completed work. Reviews are voluntary and customers can provide their honest experiences. A positive review must not be a condition of receiving appropriate customer care.
You don’t need to arrive with a diagnosis or know the name of the right product. Tell us what’s concerning you and what you’d like to achieve.
We’ll discuss the next step and help you understand which roof-care service may be suitable for your home.
